Developmental trauma ranges from overt abuse or neglect to simply not receiving the support you truly needed. It remains a vastly overlooked challenge for women because parenting methods that foster it have persisted as normal for centuries.
In neuroscience, the ability to have a clear felt-sense of your own inner world and thus a clear mapping of who you are on a core internal level is known as interception, and this ability is sadly is missing in so many people within our traumatised and disembodied culture.
As a result, this issue of a missing internal map is not even recognised, and certainly not dealt with, in any other arena I’ve encountered.
Consequently, it leaves extremely smart, talented women who have so much to offer secretly questioning and doubting themselves and wondering if there’s some mysterious thing that is simply an unfixable flaw of theirs.
